Senior Design team [insert name] is working with Neighborhood Meals on Wheels, a nonprofit organization that provides daily meals and wellness checks to seniors in Gwinnett County. Specifically, the team is looking to aid NMOW in scaling for rapidly increasing demand by creating and implementing robust inventory management procedures and software. The goal of this new system is to reduce waste, cost, and travel time as they move into a new facility with greater capacity.

The team’s approach is centered around building a database and application to enhance inventory tracking and enable data driven procurement, menu planning, and storage. In addition, the team will evaluate and implement changes to warehouse organization and procedures to streamline processes within the facility. These solutions will ultimately allow them to increase their output without sacrificing quality or freshness.
