Description
Like a traditional electronic drum sequencing instrument, The Kitchen allows a player to create live loops by selecting from a variety of sampled sounds and mapping them to an 8-step drum sequencer. Designed with the goal of simplicity and intuitiveness, it enables the player to make broad strokes that drastically affect the output while also giving the ability to finely tune their creation to achieve specific sound design goals. The Kitchen embraces the extremes in audio processing and invites the player to push the effects of reverb, distortion, and detuning to their limits with the turn of a single knob. Many controls have several functions, providing the user with a vast potential for musical expression with an interface that is far from overwhelming. The Kitchen really shines in its ability to simulate natural-sounding improvisation with its "fill" and "rand" features that keep the beat fresh and the crowd grooving. Coming with an instrument input for recording and integrating the performances of another musician into the loop in real time, The Kitchen proves to be a convenient, yet powerful device capable of bringing rhythms and melodies to life and manipulating them with ease. When you come to The Kitchen, you come to cook.
