The project is a consumer-oriented door unlocking mechanism which is designed to be hands-free by the use of an embedded system using a facial identification algorithm to determine if a door should be locked or unlocked based on the identity of the user trying to enter. The system will also feature an app which allows users to open the door lock remotely or input new users into the system which will mark them as users that the lock will open for. Our project is both entrepreneurial and focuses on digital interactions.
