BreathBand is a wearable device that monitors the depth and rhythm of a user’s breathing cycle for athletic performance. The device wraps around the user’s torso as a lightweight, non-restrictive belt and sends data to an application that may be opened on Android or IOS devices such as smartphones. The application will show the accuracy of the user’s breathing cycle when compared with a breathing pattern designed by an athletic trainer or breathing expert. This will allow the user and their trainer to monitor their progress and gradually improve their performance through real-time measurements.
