The Air Force Special Operation Command (AFSOC) medics are not equipped to hold patients for 72 hours in austere environments because they do not have an efficient and transportable blood warming device that can handle the amount of blood they will need to use. Our team hopes to create a safe, collapsible and efficient blood warming device that will aid these medics in warming 4 to 6 units of blood, to 37ºC, at once.
