Description
The one million Americans recovering from shoulder surgery every year are often prescribed addictive opioids to manage their pain. A drug-free pain management solution is needed to alleviate their suffering and save lives. We propose a wearable device that combines mechanical vibration at 180-250Hz with a user adjustable thermal application of either 0-15C cryotherapy or 40-43C heat therapy. The device is comfortable to wear and easy to self-apply.
