Description
The Pelican warehouse serves as Delta's overflow facility for storing large, non-dangerous airplane parts. Upon arrival and processing at Pelican, parts can then be stored at Pelican or sent to the main Base warehouse for storage. Currently, the system is suboptimal, leading to many processed parts getting lost due to inefficient tracking. Additionally, items stored on shelves often expire from extended storage, rendering them unusable for aircraft. Our project aims to enhance their tracking system, introduce batch numbers to create an ordered picking system to reduce expired goods, and develop a dashboard for visualizing process metrics and success criteria. Through these implementations, we intend to minimize lost parts within the warehouse and maximize part utilization.
