Description
The world of swimming has fallen behind the quantitative world of athletics. Today, if you wish to collect accurate timing data, your only options are to either have a coach with a stopwatch or pay tens of thousands of dollars for professional equipment that require trained officials to operate. None of these options allow individuals to competitively train alone. In addition, high swimmer to coach ratios prevent stroke analysis and feedback to reduce injuries. A more affordable timing system with the same accuracy could benefit multiple different stakeholders and make training for athletes more convenient.
“Swimming has been missing this type of technical innovation seen in other sports. The market definitely has a demand for this but there is no supply.”
-Andrii Govorov (Ukrainian World Record Holder & Olympian)
