Description
There is significant inequity in access to childhood STEM education. We believe that increasing STEM education in underprivileged communities can inspire students to pursue careers in STEM and create a positive financial and social impact on themselves, their families, and communities. Current STEM programs for students can run from hundreds to thousands of dollars, making them inaccessible to kids in those communities. Our project aims to develop a low-cost, safe, hand-assembled go-kart platform using off-the-shelf components that promotes interest in and enables access to STEM fields and education for underprivileged elementary and middle school students.
