Many pet owners spend lots of money taking care of their pets while away at work or on vacation, relying on neighbors or a pet boarding service. We aim to remove one of the obstacles to a fully autonomous pet-care solution by creating a water bowl that will never run dry. We intend to do this by modifying a dehumidifier to produce the proper amount of water, purify it, and deliver it to the pet in a safe way and at a proper rate, without letting the water stagnate or be wasted. Understanding that the owner will not be near the product while in use, it will also send a message to the owner when maintenance is required.
