Description
This project is a redesign of the old Robotarium “Gritsbots” created by Dr. Sean Wilson. This project aims to improve sensor capabilities to the previous Gritsbot design, their use for testing modern robotics algorithms greatly increases.  Gritsbot 3 is a high-tech robot powered by a 5V regulated power and battery circuit. The Raspberry Pi also receives data from the power analysis board, which monitors power usage and current flow. The system is equipped with 7 VL53l0x distance sensors to monitor its surroundings. A MUX switch enables the microcontroller to communicate with each sensor through I2C independently.  Gritsbot 3's advanced features and capabilities make it a valuable asset in the robotics research community. The projected increase in experiments highlights the potential impact of this technology in driving progress in the field.
