Oral and maxillofacial surgeons need a way to measure the correct screw length accurately and efficiently for mandibular bony fixations to minimize postoperative complications. The purpose of our project is to design a device that can accurately and efficiently measure the mandibular bone-thickness to determine the correct length of screws used during the open reduction and internal fixation (ORIF) procedure.
