Delta Airlines has identified a need to improve lavatory cleanliness to improve customer perception of the airline. Three main areas were determined to be the primary concerns of customers: trash, odor, and standing water/liquid on the counters, toilet seat, and floor. While other suggestions have been made, the primary focus of this project was determined to be making the toilet seat rest in the vertical position to reduce the amount of liquid on the toilet seat and floor.
