The goal of this project is to complete an extensive electrical analysis of the 610 preamp circuit and LA610 preamp and compressor circuit. We are seeking to discover what electrical design choices influence the sounds of the two pieces of hardware that make them so unique. To achieve this, we will reverse engineer the circuit components that we have acquired for these pieces of hardware. We also are seeking to take the components we currently have and either acquire or build the necessary components to make the hardware functional. If we are successful in getting the hardware working, we intend to take measurements to further aid our analysis of the circuits.
