MRFs have filed insurance claims for significant losses due to 343 fires in the past year. This has led to a 158% increase in injuries due to fire related incidents. Because MRFs are high risk facilities, many insurance companies are reluctant to insure them, leaving them to self-insure or shut down.
We created FireBuddy to protect MRFs from devastating fires and to increase their insurability. FireBuddy is a proactive system that detects and alerts employees of hotspots. Fire Buddy is able to pinpoint the precise location of the hotspot and alert personnel via our unique alert system.
