The team has developed a waterproofing solution for the Kawneer 350 standard entrance doors which will comply with ADA standards and pass ASTM E 331 testing.
The solution is cost effective as the total cost of the unit is under the target price range.
The designed solution provides automatic actuation of the seal by harnessing the motion of the door around its axis of rotation.
The solution provides 0.5 PSI of sealing pressure throughout the seal to satisfy the 10 PSF requirement for ASTM testing.
The door will be evaluated with ASTM E 331 standards for waterproofing capabilities.
