Hysterosalpingogram (HSG) and Intrauterine Insemination (IUI) catheters are widely used in assisted reproductive medicine within Fertility Clinics. With current HSG and IUI catheter designs, nurses and physicians have difficulty finding the cervical opening during catheter insertion, which causes increased patient trauma/pain during multiple insertion attempts and decreased workflow efficiency. Physicians and Nurses also have no way to confirm that the catheter tip has entered the uterus other than tactile feedback which leads to decreased procedural success rates.
