The Empty Stocking Fund (ESF) is a local non-profit supporting Title I teachers within the Metro-Atlanta area by providing free school supplies through their Teacher Resource Center. ESF’s current operational procedures are unable to handle the recent 300% spike in teacher demand. Challenges such as long wait times, inefficient restocking, limited inventory availability, and time slot constraints limit the number of teachers that can be supported daily by ESF’s Teacher Resource Center. By addressing these barriers, ESF can increase the number of teachers served per day, improve overall shopping experience, and strengthen its ability to expand through increased donor support. Ultimately, this will increase their impact on the Metro-Atlanta Title I school community.
