Description
Mobile Drone Landing (MDL) is a prototype for an affordable, autonomous drone landing system for various delivery or emergency services. Our drones autonomously rendezvous and land on a moving platform, allowing for swarms to be deployed and make frequent returns to a mobile base station. By not requiring drone swarms to travel far from a distant stationary hub or requiring a mobile base station to stop when deploying or recovering drones, Mobile Drone Landing aims to improve the speed and versatility of drone-based last-mile delivery and emergency response/monitoring.
