Description
Cooking-related residential fires represent a persistent and preventable hazard, accounting for over $444 million in direct property losses annually in the United States. Current safety mechanisms are primarily reactive, alerting occupants only after combustion has begun without addressing the heat source. SafeHeat Innovations has developed the SmartKnob, a low-cost, user-installable retrofit device designed to proactively remove the ignition hazard by physically rotating the stove shaft to the OFF position when unattended cooking is detected. Homeowners, renters, and landlords will purchase an affordable smart stove knob because it reduces fire risk and provides peace of mind without requiring appliance replacement.
