Working with Dr. Okyere-Frempong, a physician and hospital administrator in Ghana, or team has worked on a design for low-cost, transportable neonatal incubator with the goal of increasing patient survival rates in remote regions and facilitating safe transport to major hospitals. The design is focused on being easily manufactured in the region with locally sourced materials and being open-sourced and well documented with primarily simple analog components to allow for troubleshooting and repairs by local technicians.
