ResonanceDx has developed a novel biosensor that utilizes acoustic resonators to detect COVID-19 antigens from saliva samples. With this technology, a person can be diagnosed with COVID-19 in less than 5 minutes. Our team was tasked with designing the fluidic package for this rapid diagnostic test. The fluid system must be able to automatically control the flow of two separate fluids, the patient’s saliva sample and a wash buffer, over the sensor chip in a controlled manner without any leaking or clogging.
